Belém (PA) — A edição 2025 do Círio de Nazaré já nasce como espaço de intervenção ambiental e espiritual. Com o tema “Maria, Mãe e Rainha de toda a Criação”, a mobilização une devoção mariana e compromisso com a Terra, convocando fiéis a refletir sobre a urgência das mudanças climáticas durante uma das maiores romarias católicas do mundo. A proximidade da Conferência do Clima (COP30), que será sediada em Belém em novembro, torna esse momento simbólico e estratégico.
Entre as organizações protagonistas da iniciativa estão a Casa Galileia, o Comitê COP30, a Rede Eclesial Pan-Amazônica (REPAM-Brasil), o Comitê Chico Mendes, Mandí, Tapajós de Fato, a Articulação Igreja Rumo à COP30 e a Escola de Ativismo. Juntas, estas entidades promoverão ações visuais — distribuição de fitinhas, ventarolas, lambe-lambes e faixas — com mensagens religiosas ligadas à defesa da Amazônia e ao cuidado do clima.

A mobilização se estenderá à Vila da Barca, comunidade de palafitas às margens do rio Guajará, onde residentes sofrem com impactos ambientais e invisibilidade governamental. Lá, lambe-lambes foram aplicados nas paredes e muretas locais, reafirmando a presença das vozes periféricas no discurso da fé e da ecologia.

A Rádio Amar e Servir, plataforma de comunicação ligada à Companhia de Jesus e à espiritualidade inaciana, exerce papel estratégico nessa mobilização. Rádio Amar e Servir+1
Historicamente, a rádio tem sido canal para conteúdos de espiritualidade, formação e anúncio da fé, com foco especial no protagonismo jovem. MAGIS Brasil+1 No contexto do Círio 2025, a estação será veículo para difundir orações ecológicas, mensagens sobre justiça socioambiental e convocações para a participação nas romarias e nas ações públicas relativas à COP30.
Por meio da rádio, a Companhia de Jesus amplia sua missão comunicativa: não apenas anunciar a fé, mas também engajar na vida do mundo, conectando oração e compromisso.
Redes da juventude: MAGIS Brasil e protagonismo juvenil

Embora a Rádio Amar e Servir e o MAGIS Brasil encabecem a dimensão jesuíta da mobilização, o processo é plural e ecumênico. Os parceiros já citados — Casa Galileia, Comitê COP30, REPAM, Comitê Chico Mendes, Mandí, Tapajós de Fato, Articulação Igreja Rumo à COP30 e Escola de Ativismo — disponibilizam expertise local, apoio logístico, redes de articulação e legitimidade nas comunidades amazônicas.

A mobilização climática no Círio de Nazaré 2025 representa uma aposta de fé que caminha junto com o cuidado à Criação. Por meio da Rádio Amar e Servir e da Rede MAGIS Brasil, a Companhia de Jesus reafirma sua vocação a “amar e servir” no plural: ao humano, ao social e ao ecológico.
Convida-se romeiros e romeiras, comunidades paroquiais, agentes pastorais e o público geral a participarem dessa empreitada profética. In alliance with socio-environmental organizations and Amazonian movements, the Jesuits—through Rádio Amar e Servir and the Ignatian Youth Network (MAGIS Brasil)—take an active role in the climate mobilization during the Círio de Nazaré, calling for commitment to climate justice on the eve of COP30.
Belém (PA) — The 2025 edition of the Círio de Nazaré is emerging as both an environmental and spiritual intervention. With the theme “Mary, Mother and Queen of All Creation,” this year’s celebration unites Marian devotion and ecological commitment, urging the faithful to reflect on the urgency of climate change during one of the world’s largest Catholic pilgrimages. The proximity of the UN Climate Conference (COP30), to be held in Belém in November, makes this moment both symbolic and strategic.
Among the leading organizations in this initiative are Casa Galileia, the COP30 Committee, the Pan-Amazonian Ecclesial Network (REPAM-Brazil), the Chico Mendes Committee, Mandí, Tapajós de Fato, the Church Towards COP30 Network, and the School of Activism. Together, these entities will carry out visual actions—such as the distribution of ribbons, hand fans, street posters, and banners—with faith-based messages promoting the defense of the Amazon and climate care.
The mobilization will also reach Vila da Barca, a stilt-house community along the Guajará River, where residents face environmental impacts and government neglect. There, street posters have been placed on walls and barriers, reaffirming the presence of marginalized voices in the dialogue between faith and ecology.
Rádio Amar e Servir: Jesuit Voice at the Heart of Mobilization
Rádio Amar e Servir, a communication platform linked to the Society of Jesus and Ignatian spirituality, plays a strategic role in this movement. Historically, the radio has been a channel for content on spirituality, formation, and faith outreach, with a special focus on youth leadership.
Within the context of Círio 2025, the station will broadcast ecological prayers, messages on socio-environmental justice, and calls for participation in the pilgrimages and public actions related to COP30. Through the radio, the Society of Jesus expands its communicative mission—not only to proclaim faith but to engage with the world, connecting prayer and commitment.
Youth Networks: MAGIS Brasil and Young Leadership
The Ignatian Youth Network – MAGIS Brasil, a Jesuit ministry that coordinates youth initiatives across the country, also plays an essential role in the mobilization. The network promotes socio-environmental education, youth engagement, and transformative communication, preparing young people to act in their contexts with spirituality and responsibility.
During the Círio, MAGIS youth are expected to help execute visual interventions, participate in media coverage, and spread ecological awareness among the pilgrims. This synergy between the radio and youth networks is key to broadening the reach of the mobilization and amplifying, among the faithful, the call for fairer climate policies.
